Happy Mother's Day.

Hopefully your Mother wasn't hit by an asteroid! And she's still around to bug the crap out of you! :D

We wanted to get my Madre one of those Hallmark flowers that bloom but apparently they're pretty popular. I'm not sure what's so special about a magical blooming flower made of aweso--oh wait. Yeah...
So our Madre had to deal with real flowers instead, it's such a drag, right?

No, the purple flowers are totally not a weed I found in the backyard. Why would you say that?
But really they are, though my Padre honestly thought I jumped someone's fence and snatched them from their garden. Now where would he get an idea like that?
The only backyard I break into is our own, thank you very much.

Pet peeve of the week? "Megans" with an "h".
Had a permission slip for a field trip;

Then my name tag for the event came;

I can't win.

While drawing this doodle I was able to think of some of the character's back story. Which was actually, sort of fun, and I'm all excited about my comic once again. I can't wait to start creating some awesome stuff. Hopefully this high will last long enough to get me through the rest of the school year......
I know it's mother's day, and I should technically be honoring my mother, but here's to you, readers.
Though I'm...well, me, you've managed to stick around.

But, considering a good portion of you are either related to me our are like family, I'd be a bit disappointed if you didn't. x)

Cell Phones

I usually can figure things out pretty well. But one thing I don’t understand; cell phones.

Everybody has to have the new and coolest ones and even toddlers are walking around with iPhones ordering pizzas, what’s the deal? Usually this wouldn’t bug me, it’s America; toddlers have the right to have their cell phones, but then even the toddlers are giving me weird looks.
I don’t understand! Or maybe, I do? My phone isn’t the coolest thing; some might call it stone-age material. But it works!
I pull out my phone and people smirk, they stop and stare, and laugh ‘til the end of times.

“It’s just a phone, keep walking, folks.” I really don’t understand the hilarity in it. Perhaps you could shed some light on it?

What? You too?! Well, thank you very much; laugh away. I look like a boss walking down the street with this thing.

Guys, I have to tell you a secret….I don’t own a cell phone.

Last Friday when Jenna and I were at Schuler’s I picked up a book and scanned the bio. “Amy” or whatever her name was “has gotten the best birthday present from her aunt this year, a ticket on the Titanic”. So far so good, I like historical fictions and I like the Titanic. “There she meets a boy in first class named”—let’s call him Bill—“Bill.” Okay, a bit of a Romance, still not bad. I am a girl after all. “But then they discover something, werewolves are real—and they’re after them.”  What?
Really, the shiny cover should’ve given it away, but I figure I judge books by their covers all the time, I gave it a chance.
“I’m very disappointed in you Titanic fiction. Why you try and be Twilight? You can be so much better! Ugh.”

I remember my loved ones who actually read the Twilight Saga trying to reread it and failing to do so.
“We’ve already sniffed the crack that lined the pages so there’s not enough to get us through it again.”
This may also be why I could never read them; all of the crack was gone. :c

I got on Facebook one day and it was all like "your account was accessed from an unusual place, check it out and see if it's coolio?" My account was accessed from Japan. ._.
"No, dude. That's not coolio." So, now my password is like 32+ characters long. :D

Seeing as I don’t miraculously forget to update tonight, its Friday and I’m updating!
Even if it isn't Friday when this uploads, it is Friday in my English class when I’m typing this. So, there.
I shall try and make a habit of this; updating on Fridays, not goofing off during class.
[See, I would post it now, but I don’t have the comic with me. What’s my boring yakking without the pretty pictures? Crap, that’s what it is. Crap]

Well, in an hour, after chemistry, were off to get ice cream. Will, hopefully, post this tonight. You’ll see this then! Er….now. You’ll see this now…. My goodness, time travel is hard.

Saturday: I've only recently realized why I'm so tired by nine o'clock, by then I've been  up for 15 hours! And I only sleep about 8 hours during the week.....(at my age, I'm supposed to have 9.25). I would've updated sooner but I fell asleep on a couch. A couch that wasn't even ours. O.O

Off With Their Heads!

"Me gustan las galletas"

Of course, many of my fellow students took this in a total different direction, but Megan is rated PG. ^^

With most things, I've found I have a confidence cycle. Depending on the suck-ish things in life, it tends to dip a lot..
Played an awesome Trombone solo at Jazz fest.
Played a bad one.
Had awesome conversations with people.
Had a lot of awkward conversations with people. (which is killer to us introverts)
Drew an awesome picture of a person.
Realize I can't draw people.
Practiced my Trombone 3,000x more than usual.
Still freaked out and screwed up the playing test.

It's at time's like these I take a nice nap. ^^
People (aka, a person) says I sleep too much, but the land of dreams can be so much better than reality sometimes. For one, it has unicorns. :D
(and, really, I don't sleep that much)

A friend and I were talking about next year's Variety Show. He wants to sing a duet and I told him maybe (I was kind of thinking of doing something on my own). He really wanted to sing this.
This selection had two faults;
1. I don't think I could sing a love song with him (it'd be awkward, the only person I'd probably be able to do that with would be my sister...)
2. I'd be playing the Prostitute. Usually this wouldn't matter, I love the character, but for a school talent show? Where I'd sing the line "The only way of loving me baby,
is to pay a lovely fee."? Uh. I don't think so, sorry dude.

I'm sorry, I'd write more but Power Puff Girls is kind of on. Though it's a dvd and I can watch it any time, I don't have to watch it now, but I'm off. Goodnight, sleep tight. ^^

Technical issues

Sorry, having technical issues with the scanner and Padre forgot I needed tech support
(pester him and he pushes it off, leave him be and he forgets).

In the mean time, here's a picture of O'Malley being a lamp;

Such talent that boy has.

Brought to you by:

This comic is brought to you by Dream Modeling.
And now, a word from our sponsors.
__________________________________________________________________________________

Are you tired of the new and original dreams night after night?

Wish for the boring life of conformity?

Do you want the same dull ideas as everyone else?

Well Dream Modeling is here for you!

I've been told I'm the only one who thinks of it this way. But now you do too.

P.S. (Readers, I'm so sorry I've ignored you. I've punished myself by allowing the sponsors to own this week's comic. Just know, it hurts me more than it hurts you.)

P.S.S. (Pssh. I wish I had sponsors)

Remembering me ABC's

The sudden realization of what my last name was gave me the greatest of joys. It's not often that I forget my name, but under great amounts of stress or worry, for me anything could happen. Like completely forgetting exactly how to play the trombone during my playing tests.
The world just loves me. x]
But this is all behind me now, I just have to look forward to the next tests! o_o

I haven't actually updated on a Friday in a long time. But at least I've updated!

I'd rather not just complain and ski-daddle, but I'm going to do it anyway. :D
See ya soon~

Loving you~

It wasn't until recently, that I found out this song had lyrics. (If you hadn't caught on, it's Minnie Ripeton's "Loving you"). Growing up with a mother who watched  Bridget Jones' Diary quite often I only knew the "La, la, la, la, la, la" parts...
(Oh! And if you hadn't figured it out "Escuchar Múisica" means "to listen to music")

Along with a brain tumor and Parkinsons, it seems I have the plague too.
Jenna asks how I became such a hypochondriac (another disease I have ^^) when, as usual, I blame my mother xD Seriously! With the whole fainting thing I have going on, my Madre keeps bringing up family medical history (hence the brain tumor).
Then I start looking up symptoms and begin imagining that I have them (or maybe the brain tumor is making me think I'm just imagining symptoms D:).

Hunger Games midnight premiere was Thursday :D
'sides a few others Jenna and I were the only ones to dress up, the theater was filled with 12-year-olds (or those who act such age) who were Twilight crazy, and (like with most midnight premieres after a school day) I was dead tired BUT it still was an awesome movie.
At first I was a bit nervous seeing the movie. A lot of the books I read aren't....well..."mainstream" (I know, I'm such a hipster) thus don't become movies. And I see how fired up Jenna gets about the Harry Potter movies and their leaving things out (I did read the Spiderwick Chronicles when I was younger,  and the movie wasn't completely true either, but they took the first and fifth books and pasted them together. You can only expect so much when 3/5 of the story are gone).
I'm happy to report, to my other Hunger Game fans, that the movie was pretty true to the book. ^^

O'malley destroyed another tennis ball, split it in half. So, I did the most reasonable thing.
I made a pokeball! 8D
note: O'Malley is very confused as to what happened to his tennis ball).
also note: I also suspect that for anyone who plans on proposing to me in the very distant future that they break into my house, steal this, and propose with it.

Sorry guys...

Sorry I fell off the grid for a little while there. I would have quick put something together today but I was coloring this, my English assignment, for a good 6 hours today and completely collapsed afterwards. Don't get me wrong, I love coloring, but 6 hours worth can take it's toll. I'm not even quite sure why it took that long ._.

I still think I suck at bubble letters, yet I keep using them.. ._.

I have been quite busy o_o
Since last Monday we've been practicing, seemingly, non-stop for the variety show. Then the curtain opened and the lights blinded me Friday and Saturday and I somehow managed to keep it together. And now I can breath again. :]

(and will update this Friday, with more, I swear!)

"The Maddie Lisa"

Sometimes we all need to put down the comics......and appreciate some real fine art. (which really means "I forgot to ink this week's comic").

Seeing as I also have some work to catch up on, and am convinced I have a brain tumor, this'll be all for now. Translation?
I've got issues.... :]

Bedtime Stories

Most tend not to talk about silly things they do when they're alone...I make comics about it.

Today I kept finding things to do besides updating.
Oh, I have to do homework!
I have to make my bed!
I have to practice my Trombone!
Jenna's senior pictures? They need editing!
Hmmm..there's still that bridge to jump off of...

I don't know why my sub-conscience finds this so torturous ._.

I got a tablet for my birthday. c:
I could just draw on the computer now.
But,
I couldn't cheat on pencil and paper.
We're tight like that.

So, when I make something I tend to go show it off to my Padre. Jenna will tell me what's "wrong with it" and my Madre won't "get it", so he's the only one left over.
Though, he's never quite enthusiastic with his responses....
One day, while watching this commercial, I told my Padre he had to be more like the mom. Though, "you're so amazing, Megan!" was more of what I was going for. ;)
But!
Today I made a spectacular birthday gift for my cousin (while avoiding ya'll). When I was done, I started showing it off, expecting similar responses that I'd gotten in the past. Apparently he'd been taking notes;
"Oh, cool!"
"You'll never know."

(I still couldn't stop smiling to myself for an hour)

2-gether 4-ever.

Insert the chorus of "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"s. This just comes to show how cheese-y I can be. c:

I'm sorry. I've been, like, dead for two weeks straight. Plus, we've been going to Schmohz on Fridays (after a long day of school and WMCAT) and after going to dinner we don't get home 'til 9 or 10. And that's waaay past Megan's bedtime. Then I forget to update Saturday, and by Sunday I'm usually in the "I've already updated" mind set. Plus, as of last week, I've been getting a virus or something. Which, in no way, helps the lack of sleep that I'm feeling.
Inadvertently, I've managed to miss playing tests in band, which you'd think I'd be psyched about missing them. But really I keep having the inevitable pushed off when in reality I just want to get the nasty thing over with.

Also, Wicked should be an animated movie. Just saying.

Oh! I also got 4th chair Trombone! I've actually been there for a couple of weeks now, but I was still super excited about it (unlike, say, Jenna I'm okay with not being #1 ^^). Though, I was mostly excited by the fact that I actually scored higher than one of the other trombones who just started playing this year (I've known newbies to be waaay better then me when I've been playing since....5th grade..and still am...well...bad). Oh, oh! And we also got a 2 at solo ensemble last week! It's only my fifth red ribbon....[insert "why..?" face]

My birthday is Thursday :D
At first Jenna was complaining about how I get to turn 16 on the 16th. "Hey! You'll eventually get to turn 27 on the 27th... :D" It didn't seem to make her feel any better.. x)

Also, also. Wizard of Oz piracy ad. For the win. ^^

We babysat Brody (cute 18-month baby that we loaned out from my cousin) again. When you tickle him he makes automated baby sounds (sounds that every automated talking baby doll makes).
"Do you make automated baby sounds? Yes you do! Yes you do!"
Later we to played monkey in the middle with his favorite blanket (don't worry, he was smile-y and happy about it ^^). Then my Padre did the whole quickly-pretend-to-throw-blanket-but-not-actually-throwing-it thing. Brody preceded to look all over (in the direction he presumably threw it in) with no success.
We can't even trick the dog with that move. [insert uncontrollable laughter]
People really shouldn't let us near their children. o_o

Well, that's all for now I suppose.

Fears.

In both cases, if the events occurring in the movie were to happen, I'd probably be the extra floating to shore. (Dead)
Or at least I presume so. I tend to over think situations in the worst ways possible.

I'd finally given in and started playing "Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword" (the giving in part being, that I was already playing a Zelda game and really shouldn't have started a new one. Plus, I'd be playing the Wii and doing not much of anything at all).
Eventually I had to go back to the first game I'd started, the one on the DS. Going back to the simpler smaller screen that is Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks was, uh, difficult.

I went from this:

                                                                           To this:

After my very first Zelda experience (Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess) I was a little reluctant to play the other Zelda games. One thing that I really loved about the game was the art (this is also why I want an Xbox 360. They have many pretty games with epic art). But after Playing Spirit Tracks, I remembered that I also LOVE the story lines. Not as pretty looking Zelda games? We cool now.
Though playing them right after playing the pretty ones is kinda like "ewwwwwy."

Also, I think Skyward Sword has the most awesome-ist villain. He's just so bad-a! 8D

Megan Elizabeth died Friday night at 8:00pm shortly after she laid down to sleep that night. She wasn't revived until 11:00am the next day after taking a 15 min. shower.
Seriously, man. This week has gone on forever. I didn't even have the energy to do much of anything with thought or passion. I was on autopilot (though I did feel better after 13 hours of sleep and a long hot shower ^^).
Which! Brings me to my art class teacher's favorite joke (that makes absolutely NO sense, but you burst out laughing any way).
A plane was flying when all of a sudden it crashed. What made the plane crash?
......
........
.......
The pilot was a piece of bread!
..................
I know, absurd. But you at least giggled a little, right?

I felt like a real artist this week when, fixing a bit of my painting that I disliked, I used my hand as a palate.
I am now happy with my painting of a Giraffe getting ready for a date. ^^
(this is the unedited version of the painting, btw)

I started reading "Zombies vs Unicorns", a collection of Zombie and Unicorn story where you get to decide which is better in the end. There was this one story that Jenna told me not to read because it was scary, at least not right before bed. I read it and it actually is now one of my favorites. ^^

Last week Friday, the last day for exams, my Padre woke me up as usual. I got up, took a 5 min. shower, got dressed, had breakfast, and promptly waited for my ride to arrive. She didn't come.
Slightly puzzled, I looked at the clock.
2:05am.
I looked at another clock. 2:05am. The all said it. 2:05am. Some how, my Padre misread 1:25am as 6:25am.
Luckily being a glass half-full kind of gal rather than half-empty like Jenna I was a bit pleased.
Hey! Four more hours of sleep! 8D

There's probably more that I'm missing, but being as stuffed up and sickly as I've become now, I think I'm going to hit the hay.

Spanish Class

You'd think it'd be in Spanish....you'd think they wouldn't be saying it loud enough for the teacher to hear. You'd think the teacher would notice it. You'd also think that you wouldn't call your best friend a [rhymes with "witch"].
You'd think a lot before coming to our school.

Sometimes I think they have student teachers come to our school to scare them from the profession. Some of the others can be pretty bad sometimes.. In 8th grade, some of my fellow students ended a student teachers time a bit early. Though, the year before we also managed to have 5 calls to 911 and 4 ambulances....so...

I made four comics this week. Aren't you proud of me? 8D
It must be the weather or something....

Dust has become my worst enemy. I've been cleaning my room the last couple of days and the dust has been attacking my system D:
When I leave the dust it doesn't bother me the slightest! But if I actually dust? I get the sniffles.
I hate the sniffles.

I've been trying to decide lately if I was a budding scientist or a demented child. When cleaning my room, I found a dead grasshopper that I'd kept (one found on my grandparents' driveway in Alabama) and the molting remains from one of my hermit crabs (R.I.P. Rex).
The scientist thing would also make sense with my whole rock collection, but I don't see how my toy cars fit into that. (two collections that my Papaw got me into ^^)

I am NOT alone! :D
One of the judges on "Face Off" also calls underwear underoos. ^^

Just ordered "Power Puff the complete series" and "Dexter's Laboratory: season one". Can't. Wait.

Well, 'tis all for now. Toodles~

P.S. It's snowing. :)

"Tech support, this is Maxwell"

I'd like to say that this one hasn't actually happened to us....but it has.
Our Padre was on the phone tech supporting a costumer and  distinctly remember telling Jenna and me Madre to "shush!"--which is actually the sad part... We were watching re-runs of HBO's Boardwalk Empire and there was a scene with a top-less woman playing the banjo (a dirty political scheme, mind you ^^). At some point someone said something--probably about her being in the nude or something along those lines. As you probably have guessed I burst.
"WELL! SHE'S PLAYING THE BANJO NAKED! OF COURSE SHE'S COLD"
My hand immediately smacked over my mouth. A bit amused, me Padre just went on with his customer.
Whom had to have heard. x)

Today was a good day. I was overly tired, but it was still good (when I initially woke up this morning I couldn't read the clock because of my sleepy vision :o ). Mainly because I finished my essay in English and thus worked on drawing comics the rest of the hour. I didn't finish any comic creations...but I started! :D
We also had a pep-band basket ball game. It was mainly spent playing DS in between playing my trombone.^^  I managed to defeat Phytops and keep up with each song!

I don't know if it's because I'm getting sick or what but trombone playing has been a bit harder lately. I've felt dizzy after each song and I'm probably not breathing enough. It's kind of funny, but when you can't breath you  kind of sound drunk. You slur your notes and exclaim randomly. ^^
I also freaked out during my chair audition....but I don't want to talk about that. o_o

Because of schedule issues, Jenna and I were to have din-din at McDonalds and walk over to meet up with band folks. Because of my non-ability to eat large amounts of food I'd gotten a Happy Meal. ^^ Seeing other band-mates in the establishment (and being the little shy-girl) I then began to feel self-conscious about my decision. I was a big girl, right? And should socially be eating big girl food! I then thought "screw it".
I get a toy.

So. Christmas.
I'm not the greatest at bragging about gifts...so here's the highlights.
Remote control Dalek!
Dalek "To Victory-" World War II poster!
A Nintendo Ds
-"Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks"!
-"Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass"!
-"Pokemon: Black"!
And "Legend of Zelda: Skyward" sword for the Wii! :D
There were, of course, others but....I can't distinctly remember them right now....

I cleaned my room and now every time I get out of bed I actually touch wood flooring! 8D (a novel concept, with my living habits I must admit).Though, my room is really only used for sleeping, storage, and sometimes as a guest room.... :o

Every week I always think over what I'm going to type up in these things--yes I've been talking to myself--but whenever I get here I forget it all....
Perhaps I should start writing it down again..?
Any who! I'll try not to forget about you next week ^^

Tally ho!

P.s. On the way home form band tonight I was thinking I should appoint a "jerk" (something kind of like an editor who pokes and prods me about making comics). The name comes from the fact that I'll probably come to dislike this person and their nagging! 8D
